A world demand for energy constantly grows. In the Member States of EU, a 50% anticipated growth in demand for energy is expected by the year 2030. It is estimated that in 2030 about 70% demand for energy will have to be imported. According to EURIMA organization, the biggest consumer of energy in EU are the buildings (40%).Transportation is responsible for 32%, industry sector 28% - of annual energy consumption. Thermal insulation of the buildings is one of the significant measures in reducing the dependency upon imported energy resources; with this, a long term stability of EU economy is ensured.
With renovating the buildings, the process of insulation is also being performed, which according to certain estimates the amount thus being saved will be 14,6 billion of euros per year by the year 2010 and 28,1 billion of euros by the year 2015. These savings can be reinvested which implies that both additional new jobs are to be created and current job market preserved. According to EURIMA organization, these effects can be compared to opening 530,000 new jobs.
