The buildings in EU are annually responsible for 842 million of tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is twice the amount than it is EU's objective according to the Kyoto Protocol. Simple measures, such as thermal insulation of buildings, can annually reduce buildings' CO2 emissions for about 460 million of tonnes. This is a great step towards approachning a long-term objective of reducing dangerous gas emissions for 50% by the year 2050.
